WIND / ENERGY / RESEARCH

Explore the assumptions behind an energy offer.

ZephyrTrade is a local research application for synthetic wind, weather, and price data. Its browser demo supports scenario calculations and strategy comparisons; an optional local Python service adds a separate SciPy cross-check.

EXPLORE

From observations to hypothetical offers

  • Explore a bundled hourly dataset with filters, charts, and CSV inspection.
  • Compare nine sample strategies and review their evidence and method notes.
  • Edit assumptions to calculate hypothetical offers and save named scenarios locally.

START HERE

Try it in three steps

  1. Use Overview to filter the bundled observations by strategy or date.
  2. Open the Strategy lab to edit assumptions and calculate a hypothetical offer.
  3. Compare strategies in Model arena or inspect observations in Data explorer.

DATA & ASSUMPTIONS

A transparent research snapshot

The bundled example has 3,888 retained hourly observations, nine strategies and one 30 MW synthetic site. It spans 20 July–31 December 2024 UTC with 53 absent hours. These are historical synthetic examples, not current market observations.

  • The bundled snapshot is historical and synthetic; it does not show live prices or current forecasts.
  • There are no real orders, brokers, accounts, or trading connections.
  • The optional Python service is a local cross-check, not an automatic model retraining service or public backend.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you explore

Does ZephyrTrade use live wind or market data?

No. The browser demo uses a bundled historical test snapshot and synthetic data.

Does the Python service train a new forecast model?

No. It provides a separate local SciPy cross-check; changing filters does not train a new model.

Where are my saved scenarios stored?

Scenarios stay in this browser’s local storage. Export JSON backups. Saves on MKLab or another domain do not automatically transfer to this address.

Does this place trades or make investment recommendations?

No. It calculates hypothetical offers from synthetic examples and your assumptions. There are no orders, broker connections or accounts.
